What to know about Anycubic

Anycubic, based in Shenzhen, plays in both leagues at once: FDM with the Kobra family and resin with the Photon line. That double bet has made it one of the most common entry points into the hobby, almost always competing to be the cheapest option with decent specs.

Its strength is price-to-performance at the entry level; its weakness is how fast it churns the catalogue: very similar models with confusing suffixes (Pro, Max, Plus, S...) replaced within months, which shortens the support window and the guides available for each one. Its own software does the job but is far from the polish of Bambu Studio or PrusaSlicer — fortunately nearly all its machines work fine with standard slicers.

Who is it for? A first printer at the lowest possible outlay, in filament or resin. If you want something that lasts years with long manufacturer support, other brands keep their catalogues more stable.
