Our take on the Artisan
The Artisan is Snapmaker's 3-in-1: a dual-nozzle 3D printer, a 10 or 40 W laser and a 200 W CNC mill in a single machine, with an included enclosure (Class 1 laser safety) and a 7-inch touchscreen. As a printer it offers 350 × 400 × 400 mm with both nozzles, 300 °C and a bed whose 260 × 260 mm inner zone reaches 110 °C.
Its recommended print speed is 180 mm/s, modest against dedicated printers. It makes sense if you'll also use the laser and the mill; if you only want to print, the Snapmaker U1, from the same brand, is a pure printer with a four-toolhead changer.
Worth knowing: it's driven by Snapmaker Luban, the 3-in-1 software the brand now presents as its legacy slicer, and its price reflects that it's three machines in one.

What materials can the Artisan print?
This comes from four facts on its spec sheet: the nozzle reaches 300 °C, the bed 110 °C, and the machine is enclosed with a direct-drive extruder. Those four facts decide most of the list: nozzle temperature sets the ceiling on what you can melt, the bed decides whether the first layer sticks, the enclosure keeps large parts from warping, and the extruder type rules flexibles. We don't test the machine — this is guidance derived from verified data, not a guarantee.
In short: it prints PLA, PETG, TPU (flexible), ABS, ASA, Nylon (PA), Policarbonato (PC) without a fight.
