What Sovol's range looks like
We hold 6 models from Sovol with verified specs: all filament (FDM) machines. Of those, 1 enclosed.
The range starts at the SV06 ACE (€299) and tops out with the SV08 Max (€1,199), at the manufacturer's MSRP.
The models we track span 2023 to 2025; this page lists what we have been able to verify against official sources, not the brand's full history.
What to know about Sovol
Sovol is a small brand with a clear idea: simple, open, cheap machines. Its statement piece was the SV06, an avowed heir of the Prusa MK3's open design, which earned it a reputation for offering the most machine possible for the money.
Its printers use standard components, can be repaired with generic parts and work with the usual slicers — the opposite of a walled ecosystem. The trade-off is what you'd expect from a budget brand: adequate finish, variable quality control and limited official support; the community fills in much of the documentation.
Who is it for? Tinkerers on a budget who would rather understand and maintain their machine than depend on the manufacturer. If you want everything to just work from day one, this is not that philosophy — look at Bambu Lab or a Creality K1.
Practical note: being open designs with standard components, Sovol machines are among the best community-documented printers relative to the brand's size — slicer profiles, printable upgrade parts and published fixes for nearly any fault. That network matters more than it seems when official support is thin: in practice, the forums are your service department.
