What Prusa Research's range looks like
We hold 7 models from Prusa Research with verified specs: 6 filament (FDM) and 1 resin. Of those, 4 enclosed, 3 with a heated chamber, 4 multimaterial-capable.
The range starts at the Mini+ (€419) and tops out with the XL (€1,999), at the manufacturer's MSRP.
The models we track span 2020 to 2026; this page lists what we have been able to verify against official sources, not the brand's full history.
What to know about Prusa Research
Prusa Research, founded in Prague by Josef Průša, is the reference for open hardware in 3D printing: its designs descend from the RepRap movement and much of its hardware and software remains open. The machines are built in the Czech Republic — on farms of Prusa's own printers — and the company maintains PrusaSlicer, the Prusament filament line and the Printables model platform.
What you buy with a Prusa is not the highest spec per euro but everything around it: 24/7 support staffed by actual humans, years of firmware updates, documented and available spare parts, and machines designed to be repaired and upgraded (generation upgrades ship as kits). That is why they are staples in print farms and education, where machine downtime costs money.
Who is it for? People who think in years, not in the purchase: these are among the priciest consumer FDM machines, and a Chinese printer with equivalent specs costs notably less. If price rules and you accept depending more on the manufacturer, look at Bambu Lab; if you want the Prusa spirit on a short budget, Sovol's SV06 is a direct heir of its open designs.
