Our take on the Mars 4 DLP
The Mars 4 DLP is Elegoo's bet on a different resin technology: instead of an LCD screen, it projects each layer with a 2K DLP projector (2560 × 1440 pixels) and an LED light source. Elegoo claims over 20,000 hours of life for that light source and operation below 48 dB. It prints in 132.8 × 74.7 × 150 mm with 52-micron XY resolution.
Its territory is miniatures, jewellery and small, highly detailed parts. Against the catalogue's LCD resin printers, like the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra, it offers far less volume but swaps the screen (which Elegoo sells as a spare part for its LCD printers) for a projector. If you're torn between resin and filament for figures, see resin or filament for miniatures.
Worth knowing: like any resin printer, every part needs washing and curing after printing, so budget for that equipment too. It's sliced with Voxeldance Tango, the software Elegoo recommends, and MatterHackers notes it includes a USB air purifier.

What materials can the Mars 4 DLP print?
The Mars 4 DLP is a resin printer; what follows are the resins it supports, derived from its verified specs.
The Mars 4 DLP is a resin printer (DLP): it doesn't use filament. It works with standard 405 nm UV resins from virtually any brand (open system): standard, ABS-like/tough, water-washable, flexible and castable. Engineering or high-temperature resins depend on LCD power and ventilation; follow the resin maker's guidance.
