What Artillery's range looks like
We hold 4 models from Artillery with verified specs: all filament (FDM) machines. Of those, 1 enclosed, 1 with a heated chamber.
The range starts at the Sidewinder X4 Plus (€335) and tops out with the Sidewinder X4 Plus S1 (€489), at the manufacturer's MSRP.
The models we track span 2024 to 2025; this page lists what we have been able to verify against official sources, not the brand's full history.
What to know about Artillery
Artillery carved out its spot in budget FDM with the Sidewinder X1 and the Genius: generous build volume, a direct-drive extruder and notably quiet operation at a time when that wasn't the norm at its price.
It still competes in the same bracket: a lot of machine for little money, with standard components and no ecosystem lock-in — its printers work with the usual slicers and generic spare parts. Its record also includes reliability quirks — early Sidewinders carried well-known cable and connector issues — and its support and community are much smaller than Creality's, so there is less documentation to lean on when something goes wrong.
Who is it for? Anyone after large, cheap build volume who isn't afraid to inspect and maintain their printer, and who values open, repairable hardware over polish. In this price bracket, always compare against Creality and Sovol before deciding.
If you go for one, give the machine your first evening rather than printing: check fastener torque and connectors, tension the belts and run a full calibration before the first serious part. On budget brands that first once-over separates a printer that fights you from one that simply works — and on Artillery, with its connector history, doubly so.
